"There can be no doubt that the health of Canada's First Nations people is one of our country's greatest disgraces. Nor is there any doubt that it is one of the most challenging and important public policies to resolve. The issues are complex. The history is long. None of it is new. But that does not need to be the future."
(Hampton & Hampton, 'Beating the Double Whammy', p.8)
Having had the privilege of working collaboratively with First Nations communities and organizations for many years, we know first hand about the astonishing resilience of Aboriginal people. It is on this strength that the future can be built - and a large part of our practice is devoted to helping everyone think outside the box for new ways to deal with old problems.
